After spending a fair amount of time inland we decided to head out to the coastal route through the Catlins and into the Southland. We could not get over the beauty of the bays – especially Curio Bay on the Catlins coast and Colac Bay on the Southland coast. We were lucky with the weather. We even got to see Hector’s Dolphins and baby Yellow-Eyed penguins. I will let the pictures speak for themselves – except for a short video of the cutest penguins – a bit uncoordinated (ok, a lot uncoordinated) on land- but cute, cute, cute! Click here for the penguin video.
